holeshot mx tires
#2
I got the first chance to try out my new set of Holeshot MX's last week on the track. I'm happy with them so far. The track was really wet the first hour or so, and they handled well. In the past, Rikens tend to ball up quickly in the mud. I think the new MX matched set is a good setup...I've seen alot of racers with them lately. I've had both the Holeshots and the Turf Tamer/Riken setups in the past and I have had good luck with it all. I think on hardpack, the Turf Tamers will always out-perform the Holeshot rears. Also, one thing I know is that the Rikens lasted a really long time, and the Holeshot MX's are supposed to be made of a softer than normal compound, so I have to see how long they hold up. I chose the matched Holeshot kit as opposed to the Turf Tamers and Rikens mostly due to the price situation. Front Holeshot MX's are much cheaper than the grooved Rikens. Plus, I know the Turf Tamers don't wear all that long, so I guess I decided to hope that the Holeshots would hold up longer for the money I spend on a matched set.
