I'm thinking about building another racer. The problem is, I can't decide what motor I want to use. My main choices are the YZ426, CRF450, the DRZ440 like Gust is riding, or a wild 250R/Sport400 Conversion built by MP Racing called a Polonda. I've heard the 250R would be better for acceleration, while the 4 strokes tend to wind longer for more top end speed. Top speed doesnt mean anything to me because the tracks around here are mainly supercross style. Please Help.

 

I'd wait to see how the CRF450 turns out, it looks like it might be a powerhouse. I saw Ryan Hughs on a CRF out power Spud Walters on a long uphill straightaway like Spud was on a 125! It was at the 4 stroke nationals at Glen Helen in Cali.Only bummer is that the 450 is too big to legally run in the 250 class.
