i own a 300ex thats awfully healthy, and almost running with 400s as it is, but i'm racing in motorcross right now, and the raptors and a couple of 400exs are really hard to run against on my smaller bored bike,, i've been looking at the 330 kit for a long time, but i'm not sure if i wanna do it or not..they say that it makes the front end a little too happy, but i dont have the money for a swingarm, you also hve to consider the fact that i ride on weekends with my friends, so i dont want too much,,, what should i do, you can see my list of mods on my signature, so compareand tell me what you think i should do

I would say go for it man. You can use body english and riding skill to keep that front end down. From what i hear youll love that 330.

I would say do it, cuz the front end won't be any harder than a 400ex's to keep down and you should still be able to ride in wooded trails.

I own a 330EX, and I love it. Motor mods include: 80mm Wiseco piston(TC Racing modifed 10.5-1), TC Racing taper-bored sleeve, TC valve springs, TC CDI box, LRD race cam, LRD +2mm intake valves, LRD +2mm exhaust valves, LRD porting and cut valve seats, stock 400EX carb taper-bored to 37mm, 350X airboot, modifed airbox, and a modified WhiteBrother's compete E-series exhaust. The motor puts out just over 40 horse power at the rear wheels, and is very competetive with 400EX's and 250r's. Handling is a bigger problem with a 300EX. It is very short, and very narrow. You can have all of the power in the world, but the handling will kill you. Shocks first, then a-arms, swingarm, and an axle. Built 300EX's will run with built 400EX's any day of the week. It all comes down to how much you want to spend, and how much skill the racer has.

seeing that you don't really have all that much to spend, I would first get a piston, cam, springs, and port the head before you get the 330, seeing that you say you can already keep up with the 400's.

Wiseco 11:1 piston, White bro's cam and valve springs, ported and polished head, Uni filter, Cobra Exhaust, TAG bars, Pro-Design kill switch, AC bumper and Nerfs, Laeger +2 a-arms, PEP shocks, Lonestar +4 axle, Holeshot mx's on Douglas .190's all around, and soon to come, Lonestar +2 swingarm, 330cc kit, and LRD carb

I have the 330 kit in my 250X. The front end doesn't point skyward as you might think it would. I don't have to rev my engine near as much as I used to. On the motocross track I just lug it around in 3rd and 4th gear. The front end comes up with less effort then before but by no means does it come up when I don't want it do. Unless I'm doing holeshots but thats my fault if it comes up.

40+ HP cstark?! I've got everything you have except for the cam, valves, and carb and a different pipe. I'm running 11:1 with the head milled 8 thousandths and the timing retarded. (contrary to what some people believe when you retart the timing you actually get more power). I kept the stock cam because the power delivery is so smooth and the X/EX engine has a pretty radical cam in it stock anyways. I never really thought the HP got that big of a boost. Maybe it's because I kept the stock gearing.

I did the 322 kit and I'm with need for speed. It doesn't take off for the sky like you would believe. I did have to have the head ported to get more rev out of it.

The kit is very good, but realy needs a mid-top cam to go with it to realy get your moneys worth. You also should throw in some heavier clutch springs as well.

You can run with the bigger bores then, it gives you that punch in the mid to top were you can shoot those gaps when they become open. Not like with the stock motor I just had to ride behind them and pray for a mistake.

If you have the money go for it, but have a plan on what you want to do so you don't keep pulling the motor down.

Ok I looked at your mods and can clearly see why you cannot go faster.
You can put a 454 chevy engine in your quad, but till you get suspension to handle it, the awsome power is useless.
You need shocks to go fast dude!
Then when your ready get the +1 swingarm and the TC 330.
