lakota sport race opinions
#1
I own a 2001 lakota sport and was thinking about racing some small mx events at fairs and things. I have a back yard mx track in Pa with a 40 foot double whoops smaller doubles tank jump step up and 40 foot tabletop that i run very good in a race and very confident. I also have k&n filter supertrapp ids2 and kill switch and nerfs on the way i can beat a warrior in accelaration what do you think should i enter. I would also like some tips on different types of jumps for my expanding mx track any suggestions is great.

you pretty much have the variety you will find on a track except fall a way downhills and up hills. I have a buddy who has a lakota. The biggest thing i would work for is excelleration. MY buddy has about the same mods and he gets gunned when the gate drops. You sound like your ready to bang some bars. Try to lighten up your quad as much as possible. Another secret is to only put as much gas in the tank as you need to complete the race. 1 cubic ft of water wieghs 66 lbs

let the clutch do the work on the start = quick four stroke
.....pull a higher gear
.....put ya foot on the gear lever so it disengages the clutch........rev then let her go
well that used to work on the honda 300......can't remeber if my boss used to do that on his lakota or not
ya find ya will have a good time on such a great little bike......get out there any have a blast
biggest pain really is the lack of clutch
ride on !
