Although my race quad isnt even titled in my name(and I plan on keeping it that way) I was wondering how all the rules will affect those of us who only ride on private tracks. Will we still have to have that stupid license plate, have liability insurance, and pay the yearly fees?

If some can give me a good reason for these laws, or show me how they will help anyone please do?

PS And I dont like the fact that we cant put swear words on here anymore becuase this message doesnt convey even the smallest amount of my anger and pure rage that I have right now.

Hey whats up? Get on messenger and we'll chat. I think the same way about this law that you do, it totally sucks. I am very ticked about it. I've wanted a 250R for a long time so I could race and now I have to have insurance and be registered with the state. No way. BTW I still got the EX. Oh well maybe someday I'll get an R, but until then I'm going microsprint racing.

I'm from Nj and I feel your anger brothers,Just another GoDd**mn way for the state to rip more cha ching from our wallets and hard earned money away from us. They dont want us to ride at all if ya ask me and believe me they dont want to cause more illegal riding and want to crack down on it,but I really do believe these orwellian laws make people beak the laws

Hello friends,

I'm out in the west, but I can understand your frustration with ANY new laws that further erode our RIGHT to ride.

Out here the land is "public". The way that they get rid of us is to call it wilderness, wilderness study, or the latest and greatest "motor travel restricted". It really doesn't matter to me. I've had it up to my A** with the BLM and USFS and I ride where I want.

I wish you all the best of luck in overcoming this crap. While we may be on opposite sides of the country, apparently the powers that be have the same goal in mind.

ER

If i have to buy insurance and all that other crap. They better open up some trails for us atleast. I am on the same boat as you guys. they are just in it for the money. I live out buy a park named RACCON CREEK STATE PARK and been trying to get them to open up quad trails. They have horse trails walking trails and even snowbobile trails. If they want us to obey these new laws they better open up some trails and even more mx tracks.

Ps. if anyone lives in PA and races Mx please let me know where some traks are. Thanx

They can and will take our freedoms recently I was reading in Star ledger about readington airport, see the town wants to presere land and is threatening to condemn it,in reality this is stealing, and readington airport want sto expand does not want to sell to the town and it wants to expand. The town does not want this or reading selling to developers so they will try to codemn it.What I dont understand is how can there be so many stupid idiots who support this bs,If I want to go ride or drink or smoke I dont want another soul telling me to save me from myself. Also Honda and Ford are for the greens,Ford gave 5 Million to Audobahn society ,Honda gave 1 million to open up some kind of educational center for school kids and its also some kind of dirt riding track to promote responsible safe green riding. This is bad to take away riding because the economy will suffer more and Ford recently will lay off thousands of people, now why on earth in H*ll would they give 5 million to a green foundation but then turn around and say our profits arent as good as they should we need to lay off 10 gs of people.Crap if they didnt give the money away to begin w they wouldnt need to lay off workers, and the sad thing is corporate america is bigger then goverment and the government is starting to pander to them,if this isnt evil and and bad then I dont know what is that private industry has so much power and is starting to become anti american. This is almost getting proportional to where we will have a totalatarian government and leadership someday,I hear that NWO calling.

well if someone stricktly races or is on their own property, AND pays for a registration fee, i feel that they shouldnt have! I race and trail ride so the registration and insurance is a must for me,altho initially I didnt like the whole idea, now that i've called and can get the liability ins. for 65 bucks, and if wanted a 5000 dollar hospitalization AND liability it was 118 dollars,I think this a deal actually, especially since the polititians have done their best to protect the ins. company's that dont want to pay for ATV related injuries
Yes I agree that more trails SHOULD be opened with this money, further more I want legal access to secondary roads w/o hassel!!!!
Botom line, I have no choice, I love to ride
my 2 cents happy trails
