Where are all the Ohio Hare Scrambles riders?/Switch from bike to quad?
#1
When I go to the Hare Scrambles here in North East Ohio there are at least 200 quads and 200 bikes running. So why doesn't anyone ever talk about them online? Is there a web site where they are all hiding? Talk dang it!
Anyway, as you can see in my signature I ride a 1999 KTM 300MXC. I have raced all the Hare Scrambles so far this season, about 15 races. I just can't get the hang of a dirt bike! No matter how hard I try it just feels weird.
I bought my little brother a Blaster cause he liked quads. Until then I had no interest in quads at all. But after riding it I started to question if I was rolling on the right number of wheels. I think here in Ohio, with all the mud, a quad would be a lot more fun to race and I think I would be a lot better. Actually, I think if I were to time myself doing laps on a Hare Scramble course I would be faster on my brothers Blaster. That's how much better I feel on quads then on my very, very fast KTM.
Now, I realize that a Blaster is a pretty wimpy quad, especially since I weight 210lbs. and the short wheel base. So I would like to ride a real quad before I sell my bike. I think I would end up buying a 400ex because of the price and reliability, plus I want a 4 stroke.
So is there anyone that would like to let me test out their quad? I don't care what it is 400ex, raptor, 250r. Just as long as it is a full size sport quad. It would be worth a ride on the KTM 300 which is a 2 stroke and is, like I said, very fast.
Let me know what you guys think about my situation.

Hell yea ditch the bike and get a quad. I dont like the feel of bikes either. Just cant get the hang of them. But to each their own. When you get one give a hollar and we can hook up. I want to start racing some harescrambles next season...

How long have you had your bike? I've had mine for 8 monthes and wouldn't trade my 1990 RM125 for a brand new Cannondale. Not disrespect, just the bike is soooo much funner it's not worth it to me. Stick with the bike, or at least give it a try a little longer.(If you sell it, give me a holler)
