i'm gonna try to build another quad for the local atv drags, it's a 200 ft. dirt strip where i drag at. i'm wanting to do it pretty cheaply this time, so i was wondering, i've got a 400cc kawisaki street bike engine from a while back, i'm not sure what year it is, probly older, and i've got a stripped warrior frame out back. i was wondering if i could get the motor to work in the frame? will i have to do frame cutting or other mods? does anyone know where i can get parts for the motor? help me out a little bit if you guys know anything on this subject. thanx

I've seen them with 600cc super bike motor's but the 400 combination is a bit different. I would suggest trying to find a 600cc motor ( Ninja or GSXR ) from your local salvage yard before you go the route of the 400 because you are going to spend a ton just in finding parts. You'd probably end up a ton cheaper buying a running salvage engine. The 600 will go in the warrior frame with the slightest of frame modifications. I would suggest moving the motor back in the frame (extends the front end more so than extending the swing arm) and going to atleast a bare minimium 65" wheelbase if your major racing is done on dirt using the Pro Wedge tire. We run totally on dirt at our track and believe me it is hard as heck to get one to hook up on dirt.
