tether cord

hey, can someone tell me what a tether cord is?????

It's another form of a kill switch that hooks to your body, and shuts the bike off if you were to fall off.

yep, any good shop whould have them. they'll call it a tether kill switch or something like that.
they basically keep your quad from running too far from the rider when they seperate... and it has happened; rider on one end of the arena, quad at the other, and it can be more dangerous than it sounds.
if you're going racing, it's required at most tracks... and good safety even if you're not.

i have 2 of them. one is a peice of garbage and the other is awesome. the pro-design one is the good one. great quality and works good. this other one i have has a little cap that fits over a button with a foot and a half long string holding it. too easy to rip off and the string is WAY too short. the pro-design on the other hand is great and i would definately get a pro-design if your thinkin about buying a teather kill switch.

Juggalo's right, don't buy the ones with the little red caps that go over the buttons, they come off way too easy. The better brands are Pro Design and Gunnar which have a little key thing that slides in between two pieces of plastic, they very rarely come out when you dont want them to.
