I'll be there. I'm on a #53 250R set up for XC. Never raced MX, but there's a first time for everything.

Ed- Looking forward to see you there. Do you know how big the arena is? This same company put on an arenacross race a couple of months ago at the Forest Coliseum. It was a really small track. They put in 3 15-20 foot doubles, a single, a huge triple, and a long stretch of deep whoops. I still had fun even though the track was small.

SandTraxx- It is about 315 miles away from Baton Rouge and about 215 from McComb. It really depends on which way you go. Do you ever ride at Fernwood (Close Encounters)?

Nope, I've actually never been there. I don't expect it to be huge though. I'll probably drive down there a few days before the event and check the track out, I'll let you know then.

See ya there.

Eddie

You guys be careful at AX. We had one not too long ago, and it was a killing field. At any given moment you could look across the track and see 4 or 5 bikes down. The promoter only said there were 6 injury claims, but the 6 that claimed injury were carried out on backboards.

AX is small, tight, and fast. If you've ever watched ESPN and seen Supercross, get ready, it's basically the same thing, only smaller.

There have been some arenacross races around here and the tracks were not quad friendly at all. Faces of the jumps were way to steep for quads and landings were horrible. The tracks were small and crappy. Hopefully your tracks are better than the ones around here. Most of the guys are dirt bikes were struggling on the tracks because of the jumps. I saw a lot of guys go down hard. Good luck at the AX race.

How comptetive is the arenacross quad comptetion at these events? I don't want to waste a trip.

If you are comming from McComb, which is where i am orginaly from, it will take you about 3.5 hours to get to starkville.

Those guys at AX are known for neglecting their tracks.

This same company had one in Forest a few months ago. About 20 quads showed up. The track was small, but you could go two quads wide all around the track. The track was built pretty good also. I had alot of fun racing at it. I cant really say if it would be a wasted trip or not. They will have two classes though: Pro and Amatuer so I am sure there will be some competition there.
