Question for Tprender on registration
#1
According to the new ATVA, for nationals, will I have to be signed up for both AMA and ATVA or just ATVA to compete in the nationals? If I have to be a member of the ATVA, will sign up be available at the track? Thanks for all of your help, and I will see you in Macon next weekend.

You can use either one at the race. the AMA card can be used for both bike and quads, and the same for the ATVA card. the only draw backfor getting the ATVA card if you have a AMA card is that you lose your years if you are trying for the 25 years(life membership). With the ATVA card the money is used for the ATVA budget for atv issues. With the AMA card, the money goes to the general fund of the AMA. So, the answer is no you don't have to have both cards, just one.

I have a question about the AMA cards also. I know that I need one to race but what is the districts. I am not sure what my district around here is. Do i need a district card or something like that. All the tracks around my house are not AMA regulated. Morganton NC will be my first XC and national. Hope you understand what i mean. thanks

Can not help you out, each AMA district is different. If it is a AMA race you will need a AMA card. In my home district 18 we only have cards for MX. This money collected is used for the end of the year banquet and the trophy fund for the year end awards. You can try going to the AMA website to find your local district, but that will not tell you if you need a card. Check with a dealer in your area and start from there.
