I want to get involved with the ATVA next season. I won't be able to race much next season because my wife and I are wanting to start a family. What do you suggest?

 

Glad to hear that some one wants to get envoled with the sport of ATV's. Maybe the best place is to start with your local area. Find out who is your ATV congressman for your AMA district. Don't be surprised to find out that about 1/2 of them are bike riders of some kind and they do nothing. If they are not an ATV person, find out when your district saction meeting is in the fall(Nov or Dec) and talk to some of the promters in your district (lobby) and have them vote for you. The AMA/ATVA will sent out in JUne a packet to each congressman requestion any rule changes for next year. This has to be returned by Aug 1st. The rule changes are talked about and voted on in Oct for the next year.
Find a promoter or club that puts on ATV races and ask them if you can help. As you saw in Macon helping with tech, it is a different picture from the other side. This just a couple of ideas.
How is your grage sale going? To bad about your frame, maybe someone will give you a break on the cost of the new one.

The yard sale is going pretty ok. The cheapest I can find a frame is $606 out the door. I've sold my 10' beadlocks and stock carb. Gaff bought the carb. I have about $350 all together. Anyone want to contribute, email me. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
