Hi, I am new to this, but here goes: Does anyone out there know the legal age that a person can race in the state of Arkansas? My 13 year old grandson wants to get into this if possible. He has a Banshee ATV and would like to try racing it. If you know the age, let me know. Thanks!!!

 

It really just depends. A lot of tracks around here don't really care but most AMA races have a 16 age limit. If you live close to Texarkana, you should check out Fourstates MX in Hooks Texas. Hooks is about 20 or so miles outside of Texarkana. Most tracks now require a tether kill switch, nerfs, # plates on the front, rear, and both rear fenders, and ofcourse all tracks require helmets.

I've been racing since I was 13 at Thacker MX Park (Smithville AR) www.thackermotox.com and they dont have age restrictions on the quads, just have to sign a release.

I'm in Ridgedale MO, which is only about 30 miles from Green Forest.

Actually my wife is from green forest & her parents still live there - so we are down that way fairly often.

I know about the track in Batavia - where are the ones you are talking about?

 

one is AJ'S in batavia and they charge 5.00 a day and the new one is behind atuo.casting and jims drivein rest. you have to go to traffic safty and sign a waiver and it's free. it's small but getting better. btw i live in town(103N)
