new breed of racing....maybe...

im sure most of you have taken your quad, hooked a sled to the back, and pulled someone around in the snow on it... i did that today with my brother, minus the snow... anyway, were supposed to get some snow this week, and we have 6 days off for thanksgiving break...heres my idea...
i want to create a track that includes my smallish race track, shale quarry, and woods trails. then invite some friends over, make 2-man teams, and have timed races through the course pulling a sled.
ive also thought about doing races on the race track, which is probly too dangerous to do, and drag races...
sound like fun?

ya done it... hurts like hell to... you race and then you try and stop and you cant or if you do the guy on the sled smacks the back of you... and then all the jumps and stumps and bumps hurt the guy in the sled big time in the butt... we broke a sled and my butt hurts

lol...what kind of sled were you using? a thin one from k-mart?
lol...ive got this big thick one with a padded seat, so it soaks up the bumps pretty good.
i do have a nice scratch on my face from hitting the dirt...

Not very safe thing to do but what can I say... I've done it lots of times too. It's better w/o snow. But I did wear some goggles... it's a b!tch when you're on the sled and can't see.
It really doesn't hurt that bad. I used the top part of a wheel barrel and hooked a chain to it, and used a pillow for padding. Just sit up on your knees and it works a lot better.

I would not recomend doing that or some of the things I done. Too dangerous. Like say getting 2 ropes and tieing them to a grab bar and have someone pull 2 people on skis thru the woods while the to people try to knock each other off the skis or into trees. I know this from trying it. Its fun until you wreck. Also one time we got the brite idea of stripping a junk Anphibian (sp) (6-wheel ATV) so that it was just the shell and hooked it behind a snowmobile and loaded the 6-wheeler up with about 4 or 5 people and got it up to about 35-40 mph then a buddy decide to try to flip the thing over at this speed lets say it got real interesting going 35 or so with the sled on it's side. I've also been pulled on skis behind a snowmobile at 45 mph just don't wreck is my only advice.
