Matt's accident took place in Gainesville, FL at the Winter Olympics. I am truly sorry for the Bartosek family and they are in my prayers. Matt was an extremely talented racer and will be missed very much.

Ben

Even being a diehard ATV lover and racer, I cant describe what I'm feeling. I just read the report on atvsecene.com and it brought tears to my eyes. The only thing I can say is this; I know he was at that very moment achieving something every ATV racer out there wants do, Be the best there is. As racers we live on the edge, It's what it takes to win. Those last few moments must have been glorious for him, getting ready to pass one of the fastest ATV racers in the world. If I had a choice on how I'd leave this world, I'd say that would have to be it, in a blaze of glory.

My prayers go out to the Bartosek family, the Jones family, and everyone else who has been touched by this tragic event.

It's terrible to hear about this. I just read his name in dirtwheels the other day, in their top 100 fastest. I'm from Edinboro, PA, and the Bartosek name sounds familiar. Does anyone know if Matt had any older siblings or relatives in that area? Again, I'm terribly sorry about the loss, my prayers go out to all who have been effected by this.
