According to ATVA's website, there are no sanctioned Hare Scrambles in Oregon! Our local MRA, which is a charter member of the ATVA, thus allowing us to hold a sanctioned race, has had some requests from local members for a Hare Scrambles. The organizing is in the beginning stages, but would like to know if any of you Oregon or Northern California riders would have any interest in such an event.

The race would not in any way be promoted on this forum, but the chief (dbeck) did say it was Ok to just find out if there is any interest.

Anybody have any thoughts??

Get one organized, and give us a month or so notice. You can advertise/promote it on my website free of charge. I'll put it in the upcoming rides section.

Wow, North! You'd come all the way down from Renton? Cool! We currently have our Timber Mountain Hare Scrambles for MCs on John's Peak/Timber Mountain....we would more than likely run the ATV Scambles on all of the C and most of the B courses (give or take) that we use for our Poker Runs, mainly because that's where BLM says we can go, the rest being on our own property that our MRA owns. The MRA is also looking at purchasing another (?) 1,500 acres up there, so that would open up more trails.

I wonder why there ARE'NT any sanctioned ATV races on the west coast??? Maybe I'll find out when we try and put one together.....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]
