in a 1/2 mile race which one would win?
i only want people to reply if they've seen it or actually done it plz

 

I have a Predator and have raced a friend with a '02 Raptor about 20 times on all different surfaces. Both quads run about the same every time. In the real long run my Predator pulls on him only a little bit but I'm talking totally winding out 5th. It depends on how you have it geared. My Predator is totally stock, and the Raptor is too, but I'm not sure if he's changed his sprokets or not. Race one and find out.

I raced a stock 02 raptor last week and I SMOKED HIM the first three times I pulled him out of the hole and left him several bike lengths. The last time I SPOT HIM about 5 bike lengths caught him passed him and left him several bike lengths. I also dragged a 700 kaw at the race track and won! Stock for stock I DON'T believe any atv can outrun a PREDATOR up to 1/2 mi on black top, but anyone in south La. feel free to try and prove me wrong.

 

Yo how good was the other riders that you were dragging?? Were they as good as you because that really has a lot to do with it.

 

He must not have been too good, but you would think a 5 bike length head start would even the playing feild. I am told he wants a rematch . I think I will whip him as bad or worse now that I've adjusted my shocks. I will let you know monday.

 

I ride a raptor that has:
stock motor
dynojet kit
cut airbox lid
White power filter
Procircuit t4 slipon
stock gearing
stocktires
other handling mods that make the quad 35lbs lighter.

I raced a friend of mine on pavement who had just bought a polaris predator. His quad was just broke in. I think he was still getting use to shifting and what not. We raced two times on the pavement. By the way his predator is bone stock!
First race he beat me off the line as I smoked my tires in second gear. By the 200 foot mark I was ahead by three quad lengths and as we made it past a quarter mile he was slowly, I mean slowly falling back to about 5 quad lengths when we stopped just short of a half mile.
The second race I holeshotted him by about a foot. At two hundred feet again I was out about three quad lengths as I gradually pulled away to about 5 quad lengths at a half mile or so.
I know I won but it didn't feel like that great of a victory considering I do have some performance mods on my raptor. If his quad was jetted, airbox modded, and piped he would probably beat me or stay right with me. That on a quad that is 160ccs smaller. That thing is 47 inches wide stock! awesome.
The predator is fast! Has great stock shocks too. I would love to shoot a sixty foot table on it and see how it feels.

 

The Funniest part of all of these "Which is Faster" Threads, is the fact that there is NEVER any kind on consensus created by them. The guy that owns a Raptor, beats every Predator, and strangely enough, everyone that has a Predator beats every Raptor that they race, and in both cases it is by several Quad lengths. How can this be? Doesn't anyone ever win by less than a Quad length?

 

I tried to be as fair as possible in my analysis. Quit bitching rpm and face the facts the the raptor or the predator are far faster quads than your two kawasakis. I know what I am talking about cracker.
