sorry rpm diden't know thats why I diden't say, but last week I raced a V and it seemed like it had a lot of mid range.

The KFX700 has a good strong pull from the bottom thru the mid range, due to the big time Torque the motor produces, but due to a combination of the CDI and intake/exhaust limitations, it falls off rapidly. It will still hit 70+ mph, but after the first initial pull, it takes some time to get there (50 mph on up). The thing is, that because of the Auto Trany, the 700 goes right to it's peak power point (Say that 5 times real fast), right at the hit of the throttle and it stays there. That makes it a real mover off of the line if you can control the wheel stands. In the Sand, it seems to dig a hole before it takes off, and that tends to hurt it's performance. That and the weight of it.

honestly if u think any of ur lil predators out there can "SMOKE" a raptor your insane and should be hit.......twice kuz for a fact i own a 2003 660R special edition piped and jetted only and i have raced a predator that my buddy brad owns and he was bout 1 quad link behind and i've raced predators and everything else at the Silver Lake Dunes. Depending on what u have in your quad is wut matters most, partially rider but not to that much extent and i have lost and won my share of races mainly lost but thats ok lol but n e ways yamaha has led the way in performance quads polaris has 1, the predator and now the OUTLAW is comin out (gotta see wut thats all about) so polaris has good work quads "sportsman 800 EFI H.O." so ya go yamaha!!!!
