Backflip On A Quad!!!
#1
Has any one ever done a back flip on a Quad? Or has any one ever herd about one being done or attempted on a Quad? A good buddy of mine just built a 9 foot tall ramp. He is getting sponsored by Wess Miller and H-Bomb Films. He plans on doing it into a lake for the first couple of times, and then trying it on dirt. I think this would be pretty hard to do, but I wont belive it untill I see it. He is just finishing his new Quad up, which he has $15,000 invested in. The ramp and his Quad (265R) will be done next week, and I'm planning on riding with him next weekend. His biggest jump to date is a 100ft dubble (flat land) and numerous other tricks. I don't plan on doing any of these sick jumps or tricks anytime soon. My other best buddy hit the 100 footer and wasn't able to bring the front end down in time, he landed it but not after running his leg over and getting 10 pins, 2 rods and a plate put in his leg. He is back riding now but dosn't plan on hitting something that big for a long while; by the way he landed the jump about 20 to 30 times before his crash. To bad the camer a wasn't rolling on that Jump. I think I will just stick to MX.

My buddy started building the dirt jump today that he plans to do the back flip on. We just finished building a 25ft long by 9ft tall ramp/trailer with a pretty good arc to it, a few days ago. Buddy hit it once 3rd or 4th gear, 30ft high 70ft long landed it smooth. We stuck $800 in to that ramp. Met up with another group of riders today, mostly dirt bikes. They live about 30 miles from us and they have a sweet track and freestyle riding area. They said they are making their own video, and have their own riding gear comming out soon. We plan on riding alot more with them next weekend, they are supose to have a camera crew come out to their riding area and film next weekend. I can't belive how popular Quads are getting up hear in MN. It just use to be 3 or 4 of us but this year we might put together a race team to run a few local circuits. So far we have 10 confermed riders and it might grow up to around 20 riders. No snow since 97 so the people are selling ther snowmobiles and getting Quads. I gess the cops and old people are just going to have to get use to us, or get faster cars. My 400EX will be compleet next week for what I'm putting into it this year. +2 Houser A-arms, Durablue axle, Elka shocks, Renthal bars, HMF pipe, Rev box, K&N, Tires, Nerfs, Dyno Jetkit, good chassis, engine is fast for stock. I'll keep you posted, I got film but I have no Idea how or where to put it on the computer.
By the way what is the World Record distance Jump for a Quad. Some guy said it was like 140 to 150. My buddy said hes going to try and beat that to. Like I said I wont belive it untill I see it.
