Default ct 310 good or not for the 250R

Does any body know what a ct 310 for a 88 250R with a drag racing port job will run et are the fast or junk.Jusy bought one haven't had a chance to get to the track with this one yet. I'd be happy with 5.0 on it so I could run pro 1 with my 440 banshee and pro 2 250r at the track . Any info would be thankful.

Just from info I get from the chat room here on this site, they claim that CT has the worst big bore kit for drag racing/duning. They claim MP racing offers the best 250R kits for drag/duning.

My personal opinion is my brother ran this kit last year with a 39mm carb and aftermarket ignition. He did very well but he also wish he just went to FTZ to begin with. He has sense had FTZ alter the CT310 jug and is much happier.

CT will focus more on lengevity and durability so their drag port work is a little weak.. mp has some fast stuff. also talk to dabeechman here on the forums. hell give you some good info

the CT big bore jug is no different than any other aftermarket jug(assuming its not a PSI kit)all shops use a PRO-X jug when turning an R into a big bore. the only difference is the port job that they put on them

probably not much of a difference form a drag racing standpoint. the smaller 310 piston can wind faster and higher than a 350 (assuming the port mapping and compressions are similar) but the 350 will have much more bottom end torque

350 is a long rod which means more torque, slow low revver. 310 fast revver with the shorter stroke, CT doesnt build fast motors, they dumb down their motors for the general public. MP, is pretty fast, ESR builds really good motors too though. www.esr250.com , duncans PC2000 265 P/v is definately no slouch either! way faster then alot of the CT 350P/V's i've seen on the track and in the dunes
