questions on racing my '03 blaster
#1
Hey anyone out there think that i could win on my '03 blaster if i had razr 18" tires in rear, toomey B1 kit , nerfs, ac front bumper? I live in Iowa, i've never raced but i've been riding atv's for a long time. If you could give me your input and any other mods i should do before or when i get the money i would appreciate that too. i'm 15 and i have to pay for everything so don't get too expensive on me

if your racing where you livei s anything like it is here you would have to spend a fortune to be competative with a blaster. it is a good learning quad till you can move up to a better mx quad. my son started on a blaster. start with a vitos plus 5 piston kit. have your head shaved .020 also a good pipe and silencer, go to a bigger carb, get rid of the oil injection and premix. the blaster suspension is not very good. you could start with some works shocks, wheel spacers and swing arm extender. but it still will not run with the 400ex, 250 r or cannondale.

hey you won't win in the top classes but there is lots of classes including a 200cc 2stroke class...perfect for the blaster. if there isn't that i'm sure there is alteast like an a b c class type thing. a blaster isn't going to beat the rest but you can still have fun and get some experience

I race my blaster and don't have any probs, except where i live the classes dont go by cc's we have youth beginner am and pro. I'm racing am and if I bring my A game and ride the Sh%! out of my quad I can be competitive kinda. If there is any adivice I could give you it would be get aftermarjet shocks, they are a must for the blaster.
