Help choosing ATV
#1
I have about $2500 saved up to buy a ATV. Now I just have to decide which one. I am fairly new to 4 wheelers, jsut rode my friends 250ex some. I will be riding mostly trails (hills) and fields. I would like a 2WD/4WD selectable, but would rather have just a 2WD than just a 4WD.
I like the warrior and Honda *00ex's. Should I be looking 2 stroke or 4 stroke? I would think 4 stroke would be easier to maiintain. Thanks.

Well with thats tite buget i would recommend the Yamaha Warrior or if you find a 400EX even better both of them are 2WD if you want 4WD you should look for Yamaha Grizzly but if i was you i would stick to 2WD and especially 4 strokes.
But first look for the Honda 400EX if there is nothing then stick with the Warrior and if you have some cash left and want a good exhaust get the White Bros E-Series.The only downside is that it sounds to loud but i like loud.

as new a warrior as you can get,.....but dont buy no 1 wstroke........they dont make them........I run them all up till 2001......warriors are tops for 300 to 400 cc 2wd........many bikes for many purposes in 4x4.......yamaha wolverines and polaris magnums are best for least money in 4x4 class...........if you want ALL the toys for bigger bucs, its best to shop and test ride them and shop again

Well i got my 2000 Yamaha Warrior for around that price but you should search localy i hear they are selling some scam quads there a guy lost 6,000 i recommend searching your nearest dealer.
But you can find a good warrior from 2,100 to 3,000 you should not pay more than that
unless it comes with accesories and its brand new.

There are alot of quads to choose from. Would you rather a sport quad or a utility? You could buy a Warrior, 300EX, Mojave, Blaster and so on... Or Beartracker, Recon, Quadrunner 250(with select 4x4), Bayou, Honda 300, and so on.
It really depends on what is available in your area for your price. Just buy the best deal you can find.
