As with many things, there are no "right or wrong" ways, there are only "different" ways. Hey, but that is what the forum is for. So people can learn from the experiences of everybody else!

mongo-I would be interested in hearing your views on desert riding!! There doesn't seem to be as many desert riders in the forum as there are eastern trail riders. Where do you usually ride? You looking for people to ride with?
