Default Online delears & pricing ??

thanks to everyones help i've narrow my choice to either the honda rancher/forman or yamaha Kodiak (my wife axed the wolverine(that will be our 2nd bike later!!!)

it just depends on which one i can find a better deal on. everyone keeps saying prices that i should be able to get these for OTD, but up here in washington the prices are very close to MSRP + 500 to 750 for assy/shipping charges!!!

There must be some legitimate dealers online that ship?? I got a quote on a 2003 kodiak 40 for 5300+550 for shipping. They are 7K out the door here. Heck a used one was on sale for $5999.

Ranchers are $6K out the door and formans are $7k.

Where can I get a bike without getting ripped off?

I would start around your area in a 1 1/2 hr radius. Go to the Honda site or whatever site and type your zip code in and find all the dealers in your area. Then just start visiting and/or calling them to see who will give you a decent price. Some will be high but some will be more reasonable.

been there done that 12gauge. I'm in oregon so I feel your pain. no they won't ship because of lliability reasons. you MAY be able to get someone to sell and give them limited power of attorney for pickup then they can ship but as I found, you save 1000 but it costs 500 to ship. net is 500 savings. I gave up.
I have moved my choice from rancer at for 6200 to a 2004 1/2 sportsman 500HO camo for 6549 with winch. best I can do here. dealer cost on the 500 is 6045. they then get 2% from polaris/unit sold. not much margin.

trust me. they make more than 2%. its the same as a car dealership. they make money on the factory holdbacks and bonuses & incentive programs. otherwise places in missouri wouldnt be able to sell these things for 1000 less.

why did you switch from the forman? i'm leaning towards the foreman or rancher right now?
