I own a 1998 Xplorer400.

Lets start out with the bad points: Had to replace brakes with heavy duties. They burnt out too fast. On snow my back wheels tend to spin out more than the front causing the rear end to fish tale on high speed accelerations.(a bit)

Good points: Amazing power. Add an EPI clutch kit and it really hauls! Great mudding. Plush ride. I think it's a great overall quad. I sometimes wish for that independant rear suspension but when I want to get sporty, the strait axle is the best. I don't put a lot of maintenance either...it's a breeze. 4x4 system is amazing too...like on all Polaris'.

Thats about it for now...ask if ever you need any more info. Bill C. should be around soon to give his impressions of his Xplorer.

Welcome to the family!
