I agree. You know, a lot also depends on the rider not just the machine.
Have fun and keep riding.

Dirtwheels published a 55 mph top speed in their review. I hope the Rubicon will do that or more. My Rancher is only a 350 & it will do 50-51!

wait till the 2001 sportsman comes out ist a 700cc twin with other improvemtents. when the 2001 sportsmant comes out the rubicon will not look like the latest thing like it is now..

Oh rancheres dident u say that u knew that polaris did NOT have a 700cc twin comming out, well u owe us an appolige. its a Fact now

another think the rubicon does NOT have 10' of ground clearance. no solid axle machine will have 10' of ground clearance unless it has Huge tires.
its prabrabally more like 8.5'

i dont see how it could offer the ride of the sportsman either. the IRS is great for of camber and rough riding, theres only so much u can do with a solid axle. look at the automotive industry most high end cars and sporty cars have IRS.

Guy, I would be glad to push or pull you out of a hole any day. The Sp500 is a great machine. I sold mine to buy the Rubicon. Two great machines.
Have fun and keep riding

If atv's get any bigger you might as well buy a 4wheel drive truck.

I am extemeley impressed with my Rubicon. In auto-mode, you move the throttle about 1/4" inch and it goes. You cannot feel it shift. When you let off the gas it slows like a standard. In ES mode, there is not a sound. You can turn the key on and shift up and down and heat or feel anything. Very, very smooth. I have waited a year and a half for this and am very, very happy. It feels like it will turn 28's with no trouble. I holds almost 6 quasts of oil! If you are interested at all in it, ride it, you will be impressed. I think it is worth 10 grand, now.Going from a 300 to this is like going from my pickup to my Hummer.

ledebuhrl1,
Go to the Polaris forum where someone might listen to what you have to say. You know, its bad when someone can't make a statement without some jack--- trying to start something. There is enough bashing on the forum without your assistance. Just had to say this. Any reply will be ignored.

Rubione,

I agree, if these quads get any bigger, we won't need our pickups anymore!
