I'm mainly looking for a quad to use during fall deer hunting in the Virginia mountains and to plow the occassional snow we get in the winter. Last 4 years has been mild and not much snow but you never know and my driveway is a killer to shovel. Some trail riding during the year but my main trail riding is done with my modified jeep so the ATV will sit more than be used. Don't want an expensive unit. Thinking in the $3k range. I have seen '98 auto polaris's have a hard time going down steep terrain in the mountains b/c of no EBS. I'm not partial to either auto or 5 speed but if it is an auto it has to have a very good EBS for me to consider. Like locking differentials for those times you need all 4 tires to pull. The hunting trails are generally logging roads and can get slick toward end of season. What suggestions for new atv's if it's even possible, and more than likely something used.

 

Look for a Kodiak, Made by yamaha It will go through anything, plus it has got some speed to, my oncle has one and it is amazing, it will go through anything you could probably find one cheap used too, goos luck searching
