First ATV

The Grizzly is a great machine, even for a first time rider. I havn't had any problems with my 02. It is capable of carrying quite a load, something to keep in mind if you are planning on loading it down with gear is that a larger machine will carry the load more comfortably than something smaller. As for the Rincon my friend is a HONDA man through and through nothing else is even close in his eyes. However, he gave his Rubicon to his wife and bought a Rincon for himself and he does NOT like it. He says the transmission is a great detriment to this machine. Jerky, does not feel like it has enough gears, downshifts suddenly on hills, etc. If he says anything bad about his beloved Honda I would take it to heart. Reliability shouldn't be a problem with either. Good luck on whatever machine you chose.

I noticed you had experience with John Deer so why not pick up a John Deer ATV? or i ment a Bombardi LOL John deer is starting with the bomb line-up so if you have a JD dealer that you want to deal with it's a consideration to look at the traxter. You should look at the Praire 700 as well. The sportsman from Polaris is an other but people are having better luck with the 600 over the 700 sportsman. The quality of Polaris came a long way over the years but I still would be concerned if I was to buy one. They all have pros and cons and all will have problems. The quality in the sport of ATVing is raising very fast over the last 10 years. I personelly feel that the Honda quality is going down hill a bit, but that wouldn't be a concern if I was to buy a Honda. Yamaha is good, I wouldn't get a 600 griz but the 660 grizz is nice and if you want a quad with paint on it like your car well there's a 660 griz that does... I would keep away from it even thou people say it doesn't chip. Choices choices choices good luck. And yes you can always find a better deal some else... But REALLY GOOD SERVICE is hard to find. Best Price and Best Service normally are not together.

odysseyjunk,
I had a few on ebay a few weeks back, but I am not located in West Virginia.
I have gotten security deposits on all of them that didn't go right away. If someone backs out, I will get back with you.

All the quads are pretty good, and reliable. It comes down to preferences, because each one has different features. Just depends on what you want. I have ridden a couple of the bigs ones, like 'em all, for the most part. I have a Rincon. I like the ride of the Rinny the best of them all. I have done some great riding, had no problems at all. Tranny works great, adn there is plenty of power. The best thing is the ride, it rides like a Cadillac with the Independat suspension all the way around, I love it. But, if any of the areas you ride in, or will go to, have really steep and technical trails, DON'T get the Rinny. There is no LOW gear and no Engine Braking when you have to literally crawl along and go really slow. None, zippo, zilch. You constantly have to ride the brakes in that type of riding. It's not very safe at all, especially for a newbie to riding. If you need to super low gear and crawling ability, go with the Griz. If you don't really need, go with the Rinny.
Good Luck
