OK, maybe I should keep it simple. I road the Bomb today, lot's of power...but I don't trust the transmission. Leaning back towards the Honda 400 TRX GPS whatever the hec it's called.
Seems like the Eiger 400 is really popular as well?
I would really appreciate any feedback
THanks

Thank you !
I ride mostly on trails and service roads. We just purchased a cabin out of town, the quad will be used 95% of the time there. Lots of Moutains, steep trails fairly dry area. Very rocky, no sand at all...although that does sound fun ! If I lived in the South there's no doubt that I would buy a Wheely machine big bore.
I have ridden 2 stokes most of my life, KDX 200, CR250, XR650 etc. We ride them up mountain goat trails arounds here...really tough terrain.
Just turned 40, buddies are really raggin my for buying a quad, whatever
So, there you have it ! Thanks for the feedback so far.

Spud.... I'm going home to load my Kawi and heading no-stop to right to your doorstep! I can see from your picks (after the thick fog ones) why you need a ATV.... From the picks that's atving heaven. It reminds me of newfoundland. Read up and go to your dealers and try some out after those sleds are put away LOL. BTW from your background I would be looking at sport utility like P700, Quest, Grizz660, 500 Vinnie (soon some new ones from Suzuki), Sportman500/600.

I was trying to avoid the big bore ATV's because of the tight trails, but...?
Thanks !

tight trails are not a problem for bigger ATVs. Watch the bomb though because it is wider and it's not much wider but yes it can be tough to move around some trees. But My 700 is close to the same size as 360 kawi. It's the rider that has experience that counts. A bigger atv would have an easier time on the rough stuff and steep hills. 2x4 has a better turning radius so a selectable 2x4 would be ideal. I think the outlander is not as wide as the other bombs. I would also go auto with a low range.
