If you have any genuine interest in the Bayou 300 4X4, blazer316, I commend to you
What you always wanted to know about the Bayou 300 4X4 but were afraid to ask.

Can't tell you specifically about the 300, however I ride a 220 and talked my hunting partner into buying the 400 4x4. Both are very strong workhorses relative to other ATV's in their class. My partner often rides the ATV's of others on our lease and swears his 400 is the best at pulling loads.

Kawasaki seems to get bashed quite often by staying with the Bayou line and not offering new models. However, I tend to agree with them. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

I have never seen an abundance of posts on this forum from Kawasaki owners. The reason could be because kids seem to be the one's who use this forum most often. They are often more interested in new models that they can brag about to their friends. Kawasaki appears to have targeted the more mature market, riders who have more things to do each day that typing away on a computer.

After reading Jim's article I am inclined to say that Kawasaki may now be quietly producing the highest quality ATV's on the market. They really seem dedicated to using only the most proven design standards.

I had a 2000 Bayou 300 4x4, for about six months. I liked it very much, even had a snow plow on it. But I was ready for something bigger, and Kawasaki don't offer the Bayou 400 in a 2000 model. It did ok with the snow plow, and did pretty good in the mud. All in all it was a damn good machine.
