Let us know what kind of riding you plan to do. Are you looking for a sport quad, a 4x4, or just something to play around on? What is affordable for you? Some want a quad for 1500, some can spend 5k, some 8k. Do you ride with anyone else? If so, what kind of machines do they have, and where do you ride the most.

Dang, 3800 bucks..well if you don't mind used then that price range your open to just about anything! But, do you want 4x4 or not...One quad I think would be pretty good is a scrambler 500..I only say that because its more of a sporty quad by looks..(you can get a back utility rack if you want for hawling stuff) and plus it has a 4x4 switch so in times of need you got it there if you need it...you can get used ones for pretty cheap...I've seen brand new ones go out the door for 5200 so you can get a fairly newer one for your price range..but I think for your size the scrambler would be really nice and it has some good power to that comes with the 500cc..you can also check out utilities..It would be good if you could go to a dealer and test ride some quads just to get a feel of what you like then go from there.

I have rode them and I am impressed with their power. As for body size it really dont matter how big or small you are but how well you know how to ride. This guy is just starting out and may need to polish his skills on a machine that isnt quite as radical as a Banshee. Other than a Scrambler he may fit on a Raptor(I dont care for)or evan a DS 650 ( grreat machine/but no reverse) But as a fellow BIG guy I like the Scrammy. And I do know that stock the arent that hot but with a few mods (when you are ready)they will hold thir own.
