Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

Depending on your wife s likes I would go for the Scrammy for you and either a Trailboss 330 or a Trailblazer for your wife.Let her ride both to see the differance. As for the Vforce it is an awsome machine and very fast but no 4x4 for as much as it weighs.

I agree with pretty much everybody here, go witht eh Scrambler. I have had quite a few different bikes, but never had as much fun as the auto Scrammy, and even though I have only neede it once, the safety in my mind that the 4wd is there makes me feel more secure, even if my wife had only a 2wd, which she has a Sportsman, but as least I would know I could pull her out, or if I had trouble making it through a "puddle" in the trail, she had better go around it. By the way, I am actually getting ready to trade my Sportsman in as she is tired of working it, and I am thinking of a Trailblazer myself for my wife. They are easy to steer and ride. I don't really know anything about the Kawasaki, other than it is more of a racer, whereas the Scrammy is for all around riding, and if you modify it a little, it will keep up with the racers in their stock trim.

two wheel drive in snow is ok, as long as it isnt more than 5 nches deep, or is a hard pack trail. But if you get off the trail , or into deeper snow...2wd is useless. Going ice fishing with a 2wd, and thinking of pulling a sled, ....youll want 4wd.
