I want to start looking for a atv for my little boy. He is Two now and probaly won't be ready for another couple of years but I want to keep my eye open for a tiny bike. Something I can get now and have ready for him when he is ready. Any suggestions I want it small as possible and simple as possible.

It's gonna be hard to resist just "trying" little bit on that ATV once you get it.

Get him an electric toy ATV for the next year or two, let him learn to steer and hit the 'on' button.

After that, if he progresses enough, the smallest is a Rascal 40 (Eton??). There are also many small sized 50's that can be set to run dead slow. Whatever you do, don't rush it - even larger than normal little kids rarely have the reflexes to drive a gas powered bike.

Hey thanks for the info, I'll prepare him with the electric one. Been looking hard at them and also want to get him lots of peddle time on a bicycle to get balance and what not. He has been out with me on mine. We just go slow through the woods and he is in a harness strapped on the front of my body. He just loves it you can't wipe the grin off his face. I'm guessing 4-5 before he will be ready for a gas model. Can't wait.

Pick him up a Grizzly, that way you can run along side of him.

lol. I'd get him a 90 because you can make them very slow for him but still have some leeway so when he gets bigger you can just make it faster for him instead of buying a bigger quad.

I would get him a grizzly 125 you can adjust it to go slow and then adjust it to go faster as he gets older. plus it has racks to carry a big a$$ first aid kit LOL. this would save you from having to buy him a bigger one in a couple of years

Yea go with a 90. It will last him until he is 12 or so (or 16 if you go the the ATV age limits....uuhhh huh ) and they all have throttle adjusters that you can mess with so he can barley push it in

Or you could do what my neibor did for his 2 year old.... He took a weedeater (20cc) motor and put it in a frame from an old 50....... It works good for her...wont do more than about 10, no transmission or anything...its pretty cool if you ask me. But with me on it (160 lbs) it wont move.... Still, its pretty badass

Just make sure you run really small wheeles, he used some wheels that are maybe 2 inches wide and 5 inches across. Just from looking thats my guess.
