Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

One thing to keep in mind is dont EVER believe any of the magazine tests.I have found most of them to be total BS.Go where folks are ridding and look and ask questions.

i have a 250ex as a second quad and everyone that rides it agrees that its a really fun bike, comes in semi-auto so u dont have to be in the clutch dilema as much

Yeah, I'm looking for something for my wife too and don't have lots of money. I ride in some rough stuff and I've only had to put my machine in 4-wheel drive a few times. Yes it would be nice to have it but as long as you ride with your husband he can always pull you out if you ever get into trouble which I doubt you will unless you like riding in mud. A 2x4 is much cheaper and will probably go anywhere you dare. I wouldn't go as far as getting a sport ATV though because the lack of ground clearance will hurt you more than anything.

If you're like me it's not a matter of what you get but how much you have to spend and at this time you don't have much at all. Hang in there, I'd like to get my wife on the trails too but we'll have to wait for good ole uncle sam too.

Good luck,

Phil

Phil...agreed....maybe we should wait..... for uncle sam...hahahah

and second....

don't you mean...... " when husband is riding he should be behind ME, so I can pull HIM out."....

This scenario would be much more pleasant in MY opinion...<grin>
but I am also a realist...and see that I will be the one riding the "smaller" machine....hahah
unless I can "outbuy" his kodiak.....lol...
Now there is an IDEA !!
