I am not trying to start trouble but can someone tell me why Polaris is charging $400 for EBS in 00??? Is this the way polaris treats their loyal customers by raising the price on an option from 99 to 00 by $400 what gives will they be charging extra for stuff like 4x4 or lights in the year 2001 wake up polaris customers as long as you keep buying looks like they will keep raising, if someone can honestly explain this to me why other than being pure profit I am willing to listen...I had my choices down to the Polaris Artic Cat and the Suzuki until this was brought to my attention I could put up with horror storys on the polaris but with rising price plus the horror storys I don't think so isn't it bad enough about the trouble I have heard so many people having with the polaris but on top of it having to pay MORE...so I went with the Cat the suzuki is a good machine just didn't have some of the few extras like rear disk brakes...don't get me wrong I know the polaris is a great machine as far as climbing and in the mud but don't you think polaris is laying to its customers raising the price of an option that was free in 99 to $400 extra in 00???

Artic Cat...why not???

They are not ,check your source you obviously have gotten some bad information, The EBS is standard on the Sportsman 500 as it has always been the only Quad that did have it standard that it has been changed to optional is the Magnum 500. As for the $400.00 cost there is a credit given when you install the EBS system as an option for your stock clutch The actual cost after this credit is about $200.00 . Well worth the cost if you want it . I have installed these kits on older 400s to the credit still applies to older machines to. As for your little speach about how bad Polaris treats its customers sounds to me like you are just searching for something to complain about ,You obviously are running out of Ideas.

Its called inflation better get used to it as Clinton keeps increasing the minimum wage. The credit I spoke of does still apply unless you have a dealer who is for some reason not aware of it so the increase with the EBS as an option should only come to around $200.00 . Unless our dealer just does a little better on it than some of these other guys.

Hey Kagey how you doin if it is just $200 don't you think that is still kind of layin it to you when all of the rest of the maufacturers are not charging additional for the same stuff only a year later. What is the justification for tacking on extra bucks for something that was not charged for the previous year clinton is not affecting Kawasaki,Suzuki,AC,Honda and Yamaha???

$200.00 When your already spending $6000.00 doesn,t make a whole lot of diffrence. The prices have increased not just on one on most all makes and models why if the price increase on the Magnum 500 bothers you so much don,t you E-mail Polaris and complain?

Not all the other manufactures have an EBS like setup on their autos, and not all even have it as an option.
