These are two totally different machines.

What do you want the atv for? What kind of riding do you plan on doing and what type of terrain are you going to be doing on it?

I agree....they are totally different machines. Its all in how youre gonna use it. Heavy work? trail riding? rock crawling? high speed road use? towing junk cars?

You have to love unsubstantiated, blanket statements like this that manage to show up in every "which do I buy" thread. The member is asking for advice on a major purchase involving thousands and thousands of dollars. The least you can do is backup your opinions with some shred of evidence or reasoning.

Either one will work for that.
The big differences.. honda solid rear axle, itll feel more stable, and predictable. Griz has irs, which will feel smoother, and softer. The griz sits higher, and has more ground clearance.
The automatics are totally different. The rubi has a hydralic tranny, and the griz has a rubber belt.
The griz can lock the front differential, and the honda cant. If all 4 tires have traction, its not a big deal. But if you go thru the rough stuff, and getting a tire up in the air, then diff lock works better.
Dependability is about the same. Of the belt trannys, yamaha makes the most dependable.
Lots of people own and swear by both. If you can...take them both for a test drive, youll see the differeces, and then you can make the decision which you like better.

Okay how did you go from Rubicon and Grizzly to King Quad? Actually my wife will be getting my grizzly and I will also be getting a King quad soon. Spill your guts and tell us what you paid and if your happy, and all the rest of the gory details.

I bought the King because the Yamha dealer was so proud of his Grizz he said not only would they not deal but they could sell every one of there atv's so they didn't have to. The Honda is old school with out disc brakes or independent rear suspention and has 200 less cc's. Also the deal I got was far better from Medford Powersports. I promised not to say what I payed for the King with wheel's tires, and winch installed. Lets just say it was a substantial savings plus this a 05 and not a left over 04. Pete
