Default Help with Ozark

I am 17 years old and I have a 2003 Suzuki Ozark. For the past month I have been trying to sell it because I want a z400 in the worst way. I have all the finances ready but I need to sell the Ozark for the down payment. I need to know how much to sell it for? It has a Pro-Circuit T-4 exhaust, brand new front brakes, and is in great condition. Oil changed after 4-5 tanks of gas along with oil filter. Custom black painted rims...lol i know they are of no value but they look cool. I also don't know how to tell people about it. So far I have had no calls and I have it in the local paper. Maybe I'm asking too much. I have it up for $2600, thinking i will be worked down to $2400, which is acceptable. I would actually be happy to get $2400 for it. Please help me.

Seriously, I'd like to know the name of the dealer that is willing to discount a $3,600 quad by $1,300 so that you can buy it for $2,300 new.

Was this some kind of 'minor damage' sale? Does this dealer discount this way all the time? If so, where is this place? I know I sound skeptical, but $2,300 has got to be way below dealer cost.

Default Help with Ozark

I had a 03 ozark, 50 hours, handwarmers, service manual, and cherry condition...needed nothing but a new owner. It took 5 months, and i needed to get down to 2100 bucks to find a buyer. Obvivously, I would have hoped for more, but thats about the going price.
Keep trying, it takes time to find the right person, you got to advertize in the right places. If your in a hurry...the only sure way to sell, is to drop the price.

Its ashame cause they really are nice quads but you can't seem to get much for them. This is definately a buyers market (used Ozarks). I paid full price for mine brand new but let it go for 2K. Now that I look back I wish I would have/could have bought a slightly used Ozark instead of a brand new one for dang near half price.............

Hey Hybred!!!! Before you buy from one of these RIP-OFF Pennsylvania dealers, do this.

Call Romney Cycle in Romney West Virginia 304-822-3933 They selll Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki. I think they sell the Z-400 for about $5200. ( Maybe less, call and ask) They don't charge a set-up fee ( prep, DOC, Shipping, etc.) like the PA. dealers do. You don't have to pay taxes when you're a nonresident of W.V. You will have to pay taxes to get it registered back in Pa. ,though. You will only pay taxes on the amount you payed for the quad in W.V. ........Anyway it might save you a few hundred $$$

I think you are asking too much for your Ozark. I bought my daughter one new in 2003. It only cost $2850, NEW down in Romney. Every one I went to in Pa. wanted around $3500 plus an additional charge for setting it up. ( $140-$200 ) We got our son a NEW Warrior for $3800 down there the same day.

Call them, then maybe you can sell your Ozark for less.
