The brute 650 is a Prairie with new name and new plastic, They did go back to the 650 v-twin but they also dropped the price down to 6599.00 from 7099.00. I have had a scrambler and a raptor and a wolverine a DS650, a couple of warriors and can tell you this befor you buy anything you should at least test ride a brute 650 or a prairie 700 or its clone the suzuki twin peaks. Those three quads are by far the sportiest utilities out there and by far the most fun to ride IMO. They are a blast to wheeleeeee, power slide and do doghnutds on, and if you are not jumping them super high thats a blast too. All the while staying faily clean and dry with good fender protection. There are tons of performance mods for these quads, everthing from cool sounding exahaust for the big v-twin to high performance racing suspensions. It was these quads that caused me do do away with all my sport quads for good there capabilities and fun factor is hard to beat.

a suzuki vinson is pretty nice sport utility. It has pretty good handling for a utility in my oppinion. If you want a machine that doesn;t way and ton and that you can race around in a polaris really isn't the way to go. The kawasaki Prairie is also a good choice being that it has racks just like the vinson whcih i would assume you would need for hunting and its pretty sporty. The best way to really tell what you want and what you are looking for is to ride some quads. Different types and note wat you would like the most on ur quad. Is good handling the main thing you want ur quad to have. Make a list of the most important things to u about a quad and then sort through the pluses and minuses of different machines to see wat ur really looking for.

Strubby mentioned the scrambler, they are not a bad machine, but they have a lack of ground clearance and small tires. If you plan on going in deep mud or over lots of logs, you are probably better off looking elsewhere. Just test drive a few and good luck.

Well if you want durability, reliability, and true 4x4. I would go with the polaris scrambler. It is kinda half breed between utility and sport. The only thing is it is kinda heavy for a sport atv at about 570 pounds but if you get a 2 stroke polaris scrambler 400 4X4 easy mods can be made to make it seem as if it is not that heavy by addindgmore horsepower. Stock hp- about 40. Ae performance stage 5 (costs some $$ and elbow grease)- 110 hp!!!

I don't think you would like to move big game with a sport bike. I guess you could always rig a trailer to one or even add a rack and make it work that way however. I think your all around needs might be better suited with a solid rear axle sport/ute like the BF650/Scrambler/Vinson, etc. Plus you could always run the utility division in that Hare Scramble.

Any of the following would be good:
Cheaper: Vinson or BF650
More Expensive but faster: Praire/TwinPeaks 700
All of these are very sporty and have great 4x4 capabilities. If you are going to race I think I would stick to a SRA machine which all of the above are. Best thing to do is give each a test drive.
Good luck.
