Default 400ex or 450R?

I'm selling my 300ex and plan on buying a 400ex or 450r? If i dont intend on racing is the 450R worth the $? Plus i was curious on how much more power i can expect between the 400ex and the 300ex?

if dont mind kick starting your quad and dont need reverse then get a 450r it is worth it. the old 400s didnt have reverse but the 05's do. the 400ex also has more power compared to 300ex.

Big power diff. between the 300 and 400. But, go twith the 450r, it will make you giggle like a little girl.

Where do you ride, and what do you want to do with the ATV?

i fide on a lot of trails... hill climbs, streams, all the basic stuff in thewoods. I also have a bunch of cornfields we race through. My favorite thing to do though are jumps.

JMO but if you have the money I dont see why anyone would even consider picking the 400 over the 450r. The 400ex is a great quad but if you have the money and want a bad *** quad get the 450r!!!

The 400EX is way faster than the 300 and is easier to ride on difficult trails than a 450R.

The EX is a superb trail bike! The R handles well on the trail, but the motor likes to rev, so if you are going to trail ride it you will need some gearing changes. I only ride the R in the wide open desert, and pick the EX or Z400 for trails.

Take a good look at the Z400! It is the best all-around machne currently available. I will take it over the 400EX and day, unless you exclusively ride semi-technical trails! Way more motor and same great handling.
