Buy the Winch and Brush guard at purchase?
Looking at buying my next 05 Polaris Sportsman and was curious if I would be better off buying the WARN winch and the brush guard online.
I know there has to be a cheaper price on the winch - dealer wants $ 479.99 for the winch and $ 175.00 for the brush guard installed. I can install myself - I just want something that fits like the one from the factory.
Thanks,
Richard

I buy a lot of accessories off of Ebay. There were a bunch of Warn 2500 winchs going for $250 and I picked up the brush guard for about 35% less than retail without sales tax. Patience and dilegence in watching for what you are looking for can same some serious cash.
But - if your going to head out solo into situations where you need that winch - dont go without one. Keep in mind that the front mounted winch is there to pull the other guy out backwards. Seldom do I want to winch farther into where I went. I beleive the best use of the trailer hitch reciever is to mount a L shaped post with a winch on top... Then you have the winch facing the right direction....
Also - the brush guard is a nice add-on for kool points but most people will never ever need one. IMO.

I'd buy it ALL off of ebaY. Find the auctions from breeselawnandgarden, they make good stuff and sell at a good price. I sent them an email before I bid and told them I wanted the front and rear bumpers, grill guard, rack extensions, and in the case of my 500HO, the winch mount and they gave me a screamin' deal for the package, way better than auction prices and a savings on shipping. My 400 was bought during the Warn package incentive and I paid $175 for them to install. What a waste! They did a horrifically unprofessional install and a I made them refund my $175 and re-did it myself. Buy your winch on ebaY too. I bought the 3.0ci for my 500HO for $325 plus $25 shipping. That's a 3.0ci NOT a 2.5ci like what's on my 400.

I guess it's "breeselawngarden" but I linked one of their auctions that will run for several days giving you time to view it. All of their bumper auctions were ending in a few hours but they'll recycle.
