which sport atv to buy: Z400, 660 Raptor, Predator 500
#11
A stock Raptor is quite a bit more torquey than a Z. The Z does it best work at higher rpm, so it is more of a rever than a torquer. The Z engine does respond very nicely to just some basic mods like opening up the airbox and a free flowing muffler.
As for handling, it is the Z hands down! The Raptor carries its weight high in the frame (why do they put the radiator up so high?), and it is narrow so that makes it somewhat tippy. I find Raptor ergonomics to be rather poor.
