I've raced them, both on the seat and next to them on the starting line. I dont run mx, but on an oval the R is still the machine to beat.

Raptorlegs, you really need to quit while you're behind. Your 5 minutes at the controls of a dead bike with 60 pounds of compression isnt giving you a realistic outlook.

Maybe, because I've never even seen an oval track race, but they don't compete in the mx. Local track is very small with lots of tight turns and they fall behind.

I can't imagine why anybody would want a 2-stroke on tight trails either. JMO, but shifting gets old. Maybe I'm too old.

ps - the last one I was on was modified to race. I know what they are capable of.

I agree the 250Rs dominated the MX tracks for years, and I'm not talking oval tracks either.

All you have to do is go back to older issues of Dirtwheels and others (2-3 years and older) too see what the people on the podiums were winning with.

To say a 250R doesn't belong on an MX track is, sorry, but hillarious.

I believe my eyes, not Dirtwheels. Thinking your 250r can hang with the 450's is what's hillarious. Funny how they are so fast but can't even manage the holeshot around here.
