Default Quad for field riding

Hey everybody. Im looking for a new quad, but I'm not sure what I want. I'm 14, 5'3, 115#s. Right now I have a trx90 that I don't ride too often and an xr100. They both feel small and underpowered to me and I'm looking to get something new this summer. When I say new I mean new to me (used). Right now I'm considering everything from a Honda 250ex to a raptor 660. Whatever I get has to have a lot of topend power because I ride in wide open fields. It also has to be able to keep up or at least stay kinda close to a yz250f dirtbike. It also has to have reverse. Right now I think I might want a 300ex because they have reverse. But I don't know if A 300ex is powerful enogh to keep me enterained for a while. I would love to get a z400 but its very rare to one used where I live. So what do you guys think?

Thansk in advance

i doubt the 300ex would keep up with a YZ 250f, i would go with a banshee or a honda 250r becuase those have tons of top end and are fast enough to kepp up with a YZ 250f

You are young and have the advantage of being light, so you can ride some of the intermediate size machines, which frankly are way more fun than many of the big machines. If I was your size and weight, I would be hot-rodding around on a Blaster. Stock, they are pretty mild, but the engine hops up pretty well. Ride it a few years, then when you are older, larger, and heavier, move on to a bigger machine. Other choices might be the 250EX which is shaft drive, or the 300EX which has real sport bike suspension.

reconranger: I can't get a blaster. This is the last quad I'll be getting until I can get a job and make my own money. Im 14 and I won't be able to get a real job until I'm 16 and It'll still take me a while to save up enough money, so I need something that I won't grow out of. I think maybe i'll look into getting a banshee like UltimateAussie suggested. But I have a question for any banshee owners: what have you had to replace or repair since you got it? I've read a few posts on this site about the reliability of banshees and I don't want to buy something that I'll be constantly fixing.

Thanks for the replies and keep 'em comin'
