Go with the predator, it has more power, better handling, and the 2006 models have reverse, everything on it is basically better than the 400ex. but thats just one guys opinion.

Those 6-packs work pretty good.

I think handling is arguable but the pred does have WAY more power.

The predator will have more power and the handling would be close. The 400ex is a great trail machine but the predator will kick its butt on areas or dirt roads. One other thought is you can find NICE 400EX's used very cheap (like 3K) and that leaves a lot of $$$ to build to your riding style.
Good luck

actually i dont kno if u ridden a predator, but if u have u r full of $hit(no offense). 'cuz the predator has a little thing called "no bump steer"so all u have to do is give it gas and gobs of hp will pull u through.

Yes, I am aware of their "system" to help with handling, but if read almost any review you will see that I, as well as many others do not feel it works nearly as well as claimed. I know they have improved some other features recently but the 400 is still an excellent handler with no "fancy systems". If you check around you will learn the 400 is known for its trail riding ability and handling characteristics.
As for “actually i dont kno if u ridden a predator, but if u have u r full of $hit(no offense). 'cuz the predator has a little thing called "no bump steer"so all u have to do is give it gas and gobs of hp will pull u through.” Maybe spending more time at school learning proper English and spelling would serve you and others better than attempting to bash others posts…..

It is very hard to reply to such an articulate and intelligent response, but I will still try…

Once again.... Maybe spending more time at school learning proper English and spelling would serve you better than attempting to bash others.....
