Default Quad for wife

I appreciate all the input from you guys, You have mentioned a few models i have not thought of. Also I was unaware of the belt drive vs shaft. (I have read some other posts on here about different belt drives have maintanence issues.) We have a local dealer that does have a little grassy area that I have seen quads ridden on. I will check with them and see if we can get the wife on a couple and feel them out. today is our 5th anniversary, I figure it would make a pretty cool gift. thanks again for all your input. See you on the trails.

Default Quad for wife

Suzusaki, I have just performed this task your on for my wife.I can tell you that I had an 96 Honda trx300 4x4 and she liked it.I was on a quest to get her a rig so she could not shift and have fun.
First offer was a P650 Kawi she didn't like it.
Then a 04 Honda 400 ATGPS she liked it,but I didn't think low gear was low enough and they have a loud engine noise. The one thing I could say about the Honda was it's by far the smoothest tranny going and with the option of auto/esp it was a cool atv.
Then one day I saw a 05 Kodiak 450 for sale and took it for a test ride...They have a great package to offer.I strongly recomend you take a close look at them.I was so impressed I sold the Honda and ordered one for my wife.I believe if you want stability for her buy pre 05 and get a SRA.The articles that I have read claim to be some what bullit proof machines.

Good luck with your quest.

bbatvr,450 is a good machine!

Default Quad for wife

I'm a wife(5'4" 120lbs) and I ride a Predator. Nice machine, easy to ride in trails but still has plenty of get up and go, corners like a dream, and it jumps really smooth as long as you have the shocks adjusted right . Although I prefer my husbands Raptor(highly modded) for sheer power, even if I do look like a dwarf on it. Can't describe how good it is to feel all that power under me. I hop on that(have to almost sit on the tank to keep it on all 4 wheels though) when I'm feeling the need for speed.

Women want to have fun too.

Default Quad for wife

Thanks for the input, I am not sure what to do as of yet, My wife is changing things around and wants a boat or jet skis???? I am going to get her on the kfx a few more times before any decisions are made. My goal now, is to get her to like it, then I can get the 06 suzuki 450. We'll see how that plan unfolds.
