i dont know if its more than your looking to spend and i also dont know much about atvs other than the one i own but i just bought an arctic cat 400 4x4 auto and it is unbelievable i cant get it stuck im still in the break in period but it is a smooth unbelievable ride once its broken in ill try harder to get it stuck but diff lock is nice for mudding the 400 4x4 auto has 12 in ground clearence 10 in suspension travel and full independant suspension and is about 6k and the 400 manual is $5700 but again i dont really know much about them but have been mudding for years in trucks and its got everything you look for in a great mud rig

i would go with the honda rancher 350 4wd descent price, tons of power, sturdy, great atv and most of all light weight. however dont get recon hav known many people with problems on recon including me.
