Default Aftermarket Quads

I bought my wife a Jetmoto 200 Quad. I am looking for anyone out there who has experience with these to shed a little more information on how it is going to be. For the money, I have taken the little thing out in the neighborhood and in the neighboring hills and it is a complete blast. There is a dealer and a service center within 3 miles of my house and seems like a good thing. I am not fooled into thinking that I should enter the Baja 1000 next year with it but how bad can it be?

first of all, dont get hose little off-brand quads... stick with name brands. and if you want a fast powerful quad, dont put a bunch of money into a little 200, get a bigger brand name quad, like yamaha, honda, suzuki, kawasaki...

Ahhhh, the old Chinese Quad question.

Soon you may hear from people who actually own one.

I suggest you spend some time searching or reading here at ATVConnection forums. This question comes up a couple of times a week, and folks have discussed it to death. Therefore many of them won't bother to post the same ol, same ol' same ol stuff that they've already said a dozen times or more.

Check out the "Kids Quads and Other ATVS" section. That's where most of it is.

The responses pretty much fall into three groups:

1. "I'd never touch one of those with a 10-foot pole, and you won't be happy until you're like me."
2. "I've bought one/a few of those and I'd do it again."
3. "I had one, didn't like it, would never do it again."

The third group is the smallest.

I think people that have NO experience with these kinds of quads should not even post on the subject.

There are good and bad Chinese quads. Most cant afford or dont want to buy and expensive quad for the kids first quad. The Chinese quads fill a gap for parents and they are getting better and better every year. I have a garage full of these quads for my kids, neice, nephew and any kids that come over. They are great. Reliability really comes down to how you put the quad together. If you do the proper setup and pay attention to certain areas they can be very reliable. JetMoto is the best off brand quad ont eh market. It is a US company out of Cali. All the JM quads have Taiwan parts where known failures most happen to prevent failures. If you do your research you will find the good and bad about all the off brand quads. Not all are bad.
