Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated? I am looking to buy an atv, I want to pull wheelies eventually, jump also a little bit, and give my kids rides around house and subdivision(bad mix I know)what should i get? kids are 3 and 5. I was wondering since I never rode one before-shifted,what is involved in shifting ,if i can put it in first or second and cruise around with one hand on a child? would that be hard? I was thinking about a honda 400ex or z400 since i was reading and they sound good.

 

My neighbor has a 400ex and takes his two kids out on it all the time, it also has plenty of wheelie pulling power, and light enough for jumping over a house!!!

 

Both the Z and EX are excellent machines.

As for riding the kids around, that's not a good idea at all! A better idea is when they are old enough, get them their own quads and let them ride along with you. My kids started riding at age 5, but kids need age appropriate machines.
