03 Kawasaki Bayou 250 for $1500?
#1
I have an opportunity to buy a like-new 2003 Kawasaki Bayou 250 that has around 5 hours of total use for about $1500. A friend of mine one it in a raffle and just has not ridden it. I just purchased a 2006 Suzuki Eiger that I really, really like, but I have a wife and two small children and I'm thinking my wife might enjoy riding the Bayou at first. My son is 7 years old and is pretty large for his size. What are your thoughts as to this deal, and whether or not a 7-year old could possibly handle this Bayou? Anyone know if you can govern a Bayou down? Any help is appreciated.

The bayou 250 is a utility quad, so its not like a mojave 250 sport quad. If hes never ridden
before a 250 is probably too big. I would get him a suzuki lt-160 or something around
that size. the 160 is the same price used.

I had a 1997 bayou and it had a limiter on the throttle to slow it down. THey are rock solid atvs I had easily over 2000 miles on mine with little maintance. I would go for it for that price.
