OK, so then the Wolverine should be a no-go? I was just thinking...after about a year, I'm going to want to do performance upgrades. Do utes take well to performance upgrades?
A few more questions: ***the Can-Am/Bombardier isn't in this because of its price***
1) Which 500class ute has the most power?
2) Which 500class ute has the best aftermarket?
3) Would a 500class ute out-do the Wolverine in speed and in the rough stuff?
Thanks again, everyone. I'm sorry about all my questions, but I just want to get what will be best for me.

For performance upgrades there's probably more for the Scrambler than either the Vinson or the Sportsman, but you can get jet kit's and clutch kits for all of them.
I'm pretty sure a Vinson/Sportsman would be faster than a Wolvy b/c the wolvy is really 421cc, uses the Kodiak 450's motor so it's not really a powerful motor.
You could out do the Wolvy in the rough stuff on both the Vinson 500 and Sportsman 500, so if you haven't already go to a dealership and sit on both of these machines or test drive if they'll let you... The sportsman 500 has IRS and true AWD whereas the Vinson doesn't have a front locker so it's 3.5 wheel drive. I had a Sportsman 400(425), aside from the power it was a solid ATV, I could mud with it and plow and do all kinds of stuff...so the sp 500 would only be better b/c it has considerably more power.

Since your wanting a sportier type ute, then the clear choice is the Vinson 500 over the Sportsman 500. The biggest reason being weight, The Sportsman 500 weighs around 700lbs dry and the Vinson weighs ~600lbs dry, 100lbs means a lot when you want a sporty feel. The Vinson also has a solid rear axle, which is what all the sport ATV's are, whereas the Sportsman 500 is IRS, SRA atv's handle better and are easier to powerslide. The Vinson with it being a Suzuki will definitely last 5 years...whereas the Polaris' long term reliabity isn't the best. If you really want a sporty type ute than the Vinson with the 5 speed manual tranny would be the ticket, but they also make an auto, it's just up to you whether or not you want to have to shift gears or not. I hope this helps make your descision!
