Default Wolverine 450 Vs King Quad 700

I am going to be graduating from college in Dec. I plan on buying a quad by April. I am kinda of new to riding and have spent most of my time on my buddy's Wolvy 450. I love riding it and was planning on getting the new special edition black one. However, after a trip to a local dealer, the salesmen told me I would be happier on a new Suzuki King Quad because of my size, I'm about 6'2" 300 lbs. They were having a sale on the '06 King, for $1000 off, or $6300. Which would be the same price as the black wolvy. He said it ithe King is a much better deal for the money. But I'm figuring by the time Im looking to buy, it will be an '07 for around $7500.

I do not plan on going through any major mudholes or any extreme terrain. I will do mostly trail riding, leisure riding, and some shallow creek riding (2' deep or so at most). All of which the Wolvy handles nicely. My only complaint is the lack of top end speed.

Or if there are any other suggestions. I want a 4x4 with an automatic tranny. I do not want anything smaller then a 450 and am not looking for a 800lb Polaris.

Anyone have thoughts on the two quads, good or bad, let me know. I lean a different way each day, and am pretty up in the air about my choice. Any comments are appreciated.

Thanks.

I have seen King Quads for less. When you get ready to buy, there may still be some 06's around.
There is no way I would take the Wolverine over the King Quad even if the King were $1000 more.

The wolverine or the King quad?????????? Lets not be silly. You would be foolish to take the wolverine over the kingquad

Thats pretty much what the dealer said to me and thats what I figured once he explained himself. I just wanted to get a few more opinions.

There is no comparision. The King all the way. But you really need to go out and look around. There are so many great quads that do everything well. Being 300lbs you would probably be happier on the bigger machine. You need to go shopping.

Heck, if you are happy with the Wolvy but want more power you could always look into something like the Vinson or 650 Brute Force with solid axle. Polaris sells the Scrambler which is in the same class more or less as the Wolverine, and if you just need to dump a ton of money into a new toy there is the Can-Am Renegade due to hit the showrooms soon.
